I wish David Yurkovich produced more comics and graphic novels. At first glace, most would think "A character made of chocolate? I don't think so." Yurkovich makes it not only believable (in comic standards), but enjoyable and surprisingly fun. This is a collection of older materials about Agent Swete, our chocolaty hero. The characters are well conceived and developed. The characters are quirky and often times seem ridiculous, but the story and characterizations overshadow that. The art is an acquired taste, but well suits the stories. Yurkovich is well versed in comic history and it comes through in his characters and storytelling. Checkout his other works (Less Than Heroes, S.H.O.P. and Altercations) for an even greater glimpse of that knowledge.
