I havent received the cd yet but i have a vinyl of Hard Candy. Hard Candy is what i consider to be one of the best avoustic guitar singer songwriter albums of the 70's , with the exclusion of the great fingerstyle players who sing. I am surprised that Ned Doheny never made it famous with ths album, but at the same time nor did Jimmie Spheeris with Ports of the Heart. Generally I prefer the fingerstylsts and guys like John Martyn and Nick Drake. Neds songs are briillant and although i havent heard them for 30 years they still run through my head.I only ever saw two copes of his albums in Australia, the first copy was sold by my ex partner and the second one i found in a second and store which i gabbed on the spot.Genius of a songwriter
