As a pro-life Catholic, I was excited to read this book. By the end of the first chapter, however, it was difficult for me to continue reading. The "voice" in this story, a newborn who survives abortion, cannot possibly know that the dark, attractive doctor smells good, or that the lace curtains in her new mother's sparkling Victorian home are pretty. I also wonder about how much research the author did. For example, the nurse in the abortion clinic fears for her job when she takes the almost-dead baby to an emergency room, thinking that her actions are illegal. Ms. Donathan, if you ever decide to write a book again, (and I hope you will), please don't use family members as editors. They cannot be objective. Use the services of a professional editor, and you will have a much better end product.
