Finally a protein bar I can eat. I find most over sweet... these still are but not as much as others. Like that they are vegan and no palm oil. Been looking for ways to increase protein in my diet and these work well for me. I like the pretzel best and ordered a box of just that flavor.Low calories but DELICIOUS flavor! My trainer (who is NOT vegan) and I try out various protein bars and this one is my runaway favorite! When I’m hungry after training, but don’t want to commit to eating a full meal, I grab one of these scrumptious bars and can keep going.Great Flavor - these are like a dessert-protein bar :) Not as much protein as other protein bars, but WAY TASTIER!First of all, NuGo Protein Bars are vegan, and given the lack of choices I have, I try every new one I find. Unfortunately many of the lactose free products out there taste, well, like they are lactose free ??‍♀️ Although, I will say, they are getting better and better all the time, like finding a vegan bar I really really like and that is fulfilling enough to keep me satiated until lunchtime when I eat them for breakfast.What makes NuGo my favorite protein bar? Here are a few reasons why:* To begin with, the first flavor I tasted was chocolate mint, one of my favorite flavors, and let me tell you, it tasted like a Girl Scout Thin Mint cookie, HELLO!* Second, I discovered they have more flavors than just chocolate mint and the others are all ALMOST as good ? There is Chocolate Pretzel, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, Chocolate Coconut (my least favorite, if i’m being honest), and Dark Mocha Chocolate. Obviously, all vegan chocolate, and I mean, who doesn’t love chocolate? Some people, but not many.* Third, thanks to Amazon, they are so easy to find. Before I found these protein bars on Amazon, It was hit and miss, finding them at the grocery store, and even if I did, it was usually only the mint chocolate that was there.I haven't tried the cookies yet, but they are next on my list.I go through a lot of protein bars and have tried many. These are by far the best I have ever had. You can taste real ingredients with no chemicals or unknown flavors. They seem like candy bars. The chocolate they use is some of the best I have had. These cost more than others but they really are worth the cost. First, they are shipped in well-insulated boxes with cool packs inside. I have read other reviews where they arrived melted but mine arrived just fine and during a relatively hot day. I would have liked these to have more protein per bar but they are filling and delicious. An absolutely incredible product!I do like but do not love these. I guess I was expecting the bars to taste exceptional after all of the rave reviews. They do taste good, have a nice texture, and have healthy ingredients. Overall I am happy with the purchase. They did arrive packed in ice (well, water in Arizona) as promised.Protein valueTo find a chocolate protein bar that doesn’t contain milk products is rare. I love these and have ordered them from third-party vendors in the past. Wow, what a difference it made to get them directly from the company! They were shipped in a thermal lined box with an enclosed cool pack to keep them from melting and to keep them fresh. The chocolate coating is fresh and dark throughout (no powder-looking coating as when dark chocolate is stale). They may seem high-priced, but the care given to ensure freshness with the way they were shipped totally justifies the price, IMO. I’ll definitely be ordering more!
