Frankel's first three children's albums, "Don't Sit On A Cactus", "I Can't Sit Still" and "JoJo's Barnyard Bash", have received numerous awards including the Dr. Toy Best Audio award and the Children's Music Web Award. Frankel's song "We Go Together" was featured in the classic motion picture "Big", starring Tom Hanks. His songs have been on "The Learning Channel," an "NBC-Movie of the Week," and MTV. He also made a cameo appearance as an accordionist in the movie "Father of the Bride", which starred Steve Martin and Diane Keaton. Frankel is a member of the faculty of Chicago's venerable Old Town School of Folk Music.
