Product Description Featuring some of the most awesome musicians in Chicago, Joel Frankel's latest CD includes such live show favorites as "Hey Little People" and "Bagels and Cream Cheese" along with 15 other tasty songs. Joel is re-joined in production of the disc by his partner of 20 years, Eddie "Guru" Ganet. Delmark blues recording artist, Dave Specter, makes a guest appearance on "Shoes Blues." Review "Joel's songs are a winning combination of intelligent, plain lyrics and engaging music." -- Publisher's weekly, 1999 About the Artist Singer, songwriter and children's entertainer Joel Frankel is a big kid who's been entertaining smaller kids and their parents for nearly two decades. Frankel's first three children's albums, "Don't Sit On A Cactus", "I Can't Sit Still" and "JoJo's Barnyard Bash", have received numerous awards including the Dr. Toy Best Audio award and the Children's Music Web Award. Frankel's song "We Go Together" was featured in the classic motion picture "Big", starring Tom Hanks. His songs have been on "The Learning Channel," an "NBC-Movie of the Week," and MTV. He also made a cameo appearance as an accordionist in the movie "Father of the Bride", which starred Steve Martin and Diane Keaton. Frankel is a member of the faculty of Chicago's venerable Old Town School of Folk Music. His busy performance schedule of over 200 shows each year has included The Taste of Chicago, Navy Pier, The Bozo Show, The Jewish Folk Arts Festival, WGN TV, Festivals and Children's Museums. We saw Joel Frankel perform and bought two of his CD's and this one is wonderful! It has clever lyrics and great music. My 4 year old son goes around singing the songs and we've only had it for a week. The music is very infectious ~ I catch myself singing the songs! He knows children well and it is very evident in this well put together CD. We have an additional CD (JoJo's Barnyard Bash) which is equally excellent. I highly recommend his work and if you have the chance to see him, do it!
