Best taffy candy ever.The taffy was very tasty If you overlook the fact the taffy was seriously stuck to the white cardboard and you could possibly eat a little cardboard.Candy was hard , stuck to rapperIt was kinda stale. Freeze it then crack it. Still liked them thoughThe product arrived in time, and I was excited to finally get some Turkish Taffy. I opened my favorite flavor first which is banana, let me back up, I tried to crack it before opening it, didn't happen. the candy was really stuck to the paper, and one end was kinda like melted down. I bit off a piece and quickly went over to the trash can to spit it out .I put the rest of the bars in the fridge. I figured now that it's cold, maybe the candy will taste better. I cracked up the chocolate first put it in a zip lock bag before I opened it. It was also really stuck, and the candy came out Crumbled very very tiny pieces crumbs. then tried the strawberry, cracked it tasted it, and spit it out tasted worse than the banana. I used to eat Turkish Taffy all the time. This stuff has a strange taste, and the consistency is totally different. I really don't think this company Bonomo is using the same recipe, I don't think they are still making the candy( Does anybody know?). I will be throwing out the remaining bars, in my opinion, it's not edible really stale. The bars were packed professionally in a box , and the seller sent it out on time, but the product is a no go. I wasted $24 and will be buying Laffy Taffy from now on I think Turkish Taffy is in the booksWhen I tried to smack it on the counter like I remember instead of breaking into chunks it shattered to tiny pieces.We grew up on Bonomo Turkish Taffy. THIS IS NOT that product. The candy was very stale and lacked any flavor. We couldn’t even get the paper off. To charge $29 and not offer a refund is outrageous.Texture was mushy on vanilla, banana was best…haven’t tried others yet. It was hard to remove from Waxed cardboard/paper probably won’t purchase again….just not the same and doesn’t break into big pieces easily. Wondered how old it was lol
